Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's celebratory address to the citizens of Turkey

Addressing the nation at Vahdettin Mansion as part of the celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, President Erdoğan said: "Our Republic, which we proclaimed on October 29, 1923, is today completing its first century and heading into the second century, which we call the century of Turkey. I remember all our veterans, especially Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, with gratitude for their heroism. I declare to the whole world: no power can prevent the Republic of Turkey from being happy and prosperous."

In his speech, the president highlighted the main achievements to date:

- Turkey now has 3955 universities with 24 million 200 thousand students
- 1 million 67 thousand teachers work in educational institutions of the country
- 194 thousand doctors work for Turkish citizens
- The road network is 71 thousand km long, modern railroad lines are 14 thousand km long.
- In the energy sector, the country's total capacity has grown to 106 thousand megawatts, 55% of which is renewable energy.
- The per capita income has reached 10659 dollars and the total national income has exceeded 1 trillion dollars
- Agricultural land area is 1,9500 hectares and wheat production has increased to 8.5 million tons

"Our Republic, whose centennial we celebrate today, is a source of pride and inspiration to us all. As president of this country, I will continue to serve Turkey and the Turkish people with love, as I have done in all phases of my political life," the president said, concluding his speech.
