In Alanya, the restaurant was fined and sealed for deceiving tourists

Alanya police sealed the restaurant for 5 days and issued a fine of 32,900 lira ($1,020) to the restaurant owner in connection with a complaint from tourists about inflated prices. Police officers received a complaint from four British tourists who visited the restaurant. The tourists said they were asked to pay 50.300 lira ($1,558) for dinner, which included 25 cocktails, 3 tomato soups, 2 dens, 2 waters and 1 mushroom snack. The tourists did not agree with the bill issued to them, however, the restaurant staff began to threaten them and forced them to pay the bill. After the tourists contacted the police station, an inspection was carried out at the restaurant. According to the results of the inspection, the restaurant was sealed for 5 days, and the owner was obliged to pay a fine. The mayor of Alanya Osman Taryk Ozchelik commented on the incident: "The staff of the Alanya Municipality carefully checks every notification and complaint. We will continue to work to ensure the material and moral safety of all our guests living in our city and coming on vacation."
