Have you noticed that bakeries in Turkey sell a special kind of bread during the holy month of Ramadan? This fragrant lavash is called Ramazan Pidesi - Ramadan pita. It weighs 250 grams and is baked during the fast and the holiday after it. In the shops of Alanya, the price of lavash is 7.5 lire. However, locals usually buy it at kiosks belonging to the City Administration, because there it costs only 6 lire.

Türkiye increases purchases of Western LNG: new contract with TotalEnergies.
Turkey s state-owned energy company Botas has signed a new long-term contract with France s TotalEnergies for the supply of 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
