Transport Minister Adil Karaismayiloglu announced ambitious plans for the construction of railways in the country: "According to the project of the superfast railway line, Ankara will be connected to Istanbul, and Istanbul to Antalya. Thus, the travel time on the Kadykoy - Kyzyl route will be 80 minutes, and it will be possible to get from Istanbul to Antalya in just 5 hours."
"We expect to implement these projects within five years and increase the capacity of the Turkish railway system from 19.5 million people per year to 270 million people," added Adil Karaismayiloglu.
