Results of final examinations in Turkish schools

Turkey has passed a final exam to determine whether a student will be able to continue his or her studies at the lycée. The name of the exam is -  LGS (Liselere Geçiş Sınavı), i.e. the entrance exam for admission to the lyceum. The higher the score, the more prestigious the lyceum can be chosen for further study. With poor results, it is possible to continue education at a religious lyceum or in various fee-paying educational institutions.

According to the results of the LGS identified the provinces of Turkey, in which schoolchildren scored the most and least points.

The provinces with the best results: Mugla - 43.68, Tunceli - 43.35, Giresun - 43.30, Rize - 42.80, Trabzon - 42.06, Kyrshehir - 41.20, Eskişehir - 40.81, Chanakale - 40.65, Denizli - 40.62, Zonlagh - 42.

Provinces with the worst results: Shyrnak - 18.10, Hakkari - 20.52, Siirt - 22.6, Shanlyurfa - 23.43, Agri - 23.96, Mardin - 24.15, Van - 25.64, Mush - 26.27, Dyarbakir - 27.07, Batman - 27.

Results in other provinces:
Ankara - 15th place (39.38), Antalya - 24th place (38.47), Izmir - 28th place (38.31), Istanbul - 42nd place (36.91), Mersin - 56th place (34.70).

Türkiye increases purchases of Western LNG: new contract with TotalEnergies.

Turkey s state-owned energy company Botas has signed a new long-term contract with France s TotalEnergies for the supply of 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
