To further extend the grain deal, Russia requires the Rosselkhoznadzor to connect to the SWIFT system of international financial transactions with the help of a Turkish bank. The European Union has already refused to comply with this requirement, but the Kremlin said that options equivalent to unlocking SWIFT are being considered.
The current deal is valid until July 17, after which Russia will stop its implementation if its requirements are not met.
