Russian academician who collected insects in the forest without permission, fined 378.141 lira

The Russian academician I.I., who was caught collecting insects without a permit in the forest in the Kemer area of Antalya, was fined 378,141 lire ($11,483).

Forest guards working at the Kemer Forest Authority discovered that a man was trying to collect insects in a forest in the Kusser area of the area. He turned out to be a teacher at the Moscow State University of Forest, who collected beetles and dragonflies in the forest. Officials from the Department of Nature Conservation and National Parks confiscated tools for catching and caught insects. Insects were released into nature,  and the academician was fined an administrative fine for violating the Environmental Protection Act. After carrying out the necessary procedures, Academician I.I. was released.

Be careful! Foreigners are forbidden to take out of Turkey all kinds of plants and animals (including parts of tissues), living or dead, without permission. Nor could foreigners conduct research in the country without local scientists and without a research permit.
