Russians have become one of the largest foreign buyers of real estate in Russia Thailand

According to the country's authorities, the Chinese purchased the most housing in Thailand - 4,991 properties worth 24.7 billion baht. They are followed by citizens of the Russian Federation, who bought 962 objects, in third and fourth places - citizens of the United States and Taiwan. A total of 10,703 apartments worth $1.5 billion have been sold since the beginning of 2023. This is 38% more than in 2022.

​​​​​​​Bloomberg reports that real estate sales have soared in Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. Earlier, Thai Prime Minister Sretta Tavisin said that he expects the revival of the tourism industry in the country. For this purpose, visas for tourists from China, Russia, Kazakhstan, India and Taiwan were canceled. Additional air routes have also been added for the convenience of travelers. Thai authorities expect the tourism industry to recover to 35 million visitors in 2024.
