Bedelli askerlik is a fee that a Turkish citizen is obliged to pay if he does not want to serve in the army. The term of service in the Turkish army is 12 months, and if a conscript already has higher education, he will serve 6 months. However, there is a law in Turkey according to which you can officially "buy off" the army. In this case, it will be necessary to serve only 5 weeks instead of the due date (something like the fees for obtaining minimum combat training).
Bedelli askerlik’s current payment is 182,609 lire. Such payment will be applied for the application until June 28, 2024. From July 1, the size of Bedelli askerlik will be increased to 219,000 lire.
