According to the latest news, a bill consisting of 23 articles on amendments to the Commercial Code has been submitted to the Presidium of the Grand National Assembly. The purpose of the bill is the natural functioning of the market and the fight against unfair competition that misleads consumers. The head of the parliamentary group of the ruling Turkish party, Abdullah Guller: "The amount of the fine for overcharging will range from 100,000 to 1 million liras; the amount of the fine for stockpiling will range from 1 million liras to 12 million liras for each violation. We also present to the Ministry the right to impose penalties in the form of closure for up to 6 days on manufacturers, suppliers and retail enterprises that have been caught accumulating stocks at least 3 times during a calendar year." Guller said that the bill will be adopted after the completion of work in the Commission on Industry, Trade, Energy, Natural Resources, Information and Technology and in the General Assembly.

Construction of a new bridge over the Evros River (Turk. Meric) between the border points of Pisala in Turkey and Kepi in Greece will begin this year. The existing two-lane bridge, built in 1958 to provide passage across the Evros River between the border outposts, cannot meet the growing car traffic between the two countries every year. Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer inspected the area where the bridge will be built. The construction will be carried out with the partnership of both countries. The Turkish side of the bridge will be built by the General Directorate of Highways, and the Greek side by the Greek government. The main length of the bridge, technical work on which is being carried out by the 1st regional Directorate of Highways, will be 811 meters, and the part above the river will be 344 meters. The 4-lane bridge will also have an emergency road and sidewalks.

The first flight of a high-speed train on the Istanbul-Sivas line was carried out in Turkey.
