enSocial benefits for students in Turkey

Students from low-income families will receive social assistance from the state in the amount of 5,104 liras. The payment applies to students of state institutions and those students who scored a high number of points on exams. Also, if a student is in the top five of the strongest students of the school/ lyceum, that he will be paid an amount of 60% of the minimum wage, which at the moment is 5,100 liras. Students of higher educational institutions will be charged a monthly allowance of 100 liras.

Turkey s state-owned energy company Botas has signed a new long-term contract with France s TotalEnergies for the supply of 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
