Real estate sales statistics for November: Russian citizens are in the lead

Russians again became leaders among foreign investors in the real estate market in Turkey. According to the report of the Turkish National Institute of Statistics, Russian citizens purchased 637 apartments in November 2023. They are followed by citizens of Iran (234 objects), citizens of Ukraine (128) and Kazakhstan (117).

Overall, foreigners purchased 2,342 properties in Turkey last month, down 61.5% year-on-year. The total number of properties sold in the whole of Turkey in November amounted to 93,514 units, which is 20.6% less than in November 2022.

The greatest interest of foreigners was attracted by Antalya, where 790 real estate units were bought. It is followed by Istanbul (710) and Mersin (316).

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public.
