The cost of gasoline has risen by 20%, gas is next in line

July 16, 2023

From today in Turkey the cost of gasoline has increased by 20%. This happened due to the increase in VAT. On Saturday, a liter of gasoline cost about 28 Turkish liras, and after midnight a liter cost 34 liras (about 120 rubles). A liter of diesel fuel went up from 26.3 to 32.3 liras. A liter of liquefied gas went up to 14 liras. Thus, since the beginning of 2023, the increase in fuel prices is already more than 60%.

Also, the cost of a cubic meter of gas will increase by 20% due to a 224% increase in the SCT consumption tax. Previously, the SCT was 0.0230 TL, while the new tax is 0.0747 TL!
