Earthquake Insurance DASK: new tariffs

January 2, 2024

The Official Gazette published a communique on amendments to the instruction on tariffs for compulsory earthquake insurance DASK. The minimum tariffs will now range from 252 to 979 liras, depending on the material from which the building was built, the year of construction and the region in which it is located. The refund limit has also been increased from 640 thousand liras to 1 million 272 thousand liras.

Tariffs will be calculated based on the cost per square meter in the amount of 6000 liras for reinforced concrete structures (previously - 3016 liras) and 4000 liras for all other buildings (previously - 2080 liras). Increasing or decreasing coefficients will be applied to the basic tariff, depending on which area the building is located in and which risk group this area belongs to (a total of 7 risk groups).
