TOP 3 countries for obtaining a residence permit and citizenship

May 17, 2023

Analysts who studied the announcement on the Tranio service named the TOP 3 countries that Russians are considering to buy real estate for a residence permit and citizenship. In 2023, Turkey was in first place (21% of applications), Cyprus and Spain were in second and third place (17% and 13%).

We remind you that in Turkey, a residence permit can be obtained when buying housing, the estimated cost of which is 50 thousand dollars (small settlements) and 75 thousand dollars (large cities). Citizenship can be obtained by buying real estate, the cadastral value of which is $ 400,000. However, recently there has been more frequent talk that the minimum entry threshold will soon be increased, so if you plan to obtain Turkish citizenship for the purchase of housing, we strongly recommend that you hurry up in order to have time to apply for citizenship under today's conditions.
