Three cities in Turkey are among the happiest cities in the world

The rating of "HAPPY CITY INDEX 2024" was the British company Institute for Quality of Life / Institute of Quality of Life. The reting analyzes 250 cities on various criteria: access to medicine and education, social support, cultural values, economic development, environment, well-being of residents, etc. Cities in the rating are divided into 3 categories: "golden"which includes the happiest 37 cities, "silver" - the cities that took places in the rating from 38 to 100 and "bronze" - the cities that took places in the rating from 100 to 250.

Istanbul, Izmir and Antalya were in the "bronze" rating category, taking 197th, 222nd and 246th places, respectively. The top 5 happiest cities in the world are: Aarhus (Denmark), Zurich (Switzerland), Gothenburg (Sweden), Amsterdam (Netherlands).

Turkey s state-owned energy company Botas has signed a new long-term contract with France s TotalEnergies for the supply of 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public.
