Troy Turkey Card - a single card in Turkey

September 13, 2023

Smart cards are used in public transportation in many cities in Turkey, but they are different in each city. The Turkey Card is supposed to solve this problem. The card enables citizens to make multiple transactions with a single card anywhere in Turkey in areas such as POS devices, ATMs, paying fees, fines and taxes, using food and beverage vending machines, paying for public transportation, buying tickets, etc.

Turkey Card, based on Troy Payment Systems, actually combines a payment card and a transportation card. The trial period of using the card was launched in Konya, and by the end of the year the card will be available in 6 more cities. After that, the single Troy card will be available in all cities in Turkey.

Top-up transactions can be made through PTT branches, banks and online platforms. Employers can also transfer employees' salaries to this card.
