Turkish couple accused of fraud worth more than 100 million liras have fled to Georgia

October 30, 2023

The couple Kivanc and Beryl Talu, who became famous through their social media channel "Var Böyle Tipler" (the account is now closed), have been charged with fraud of more than 100 million liras. All their accounts were blocked. Without waiting for arrest, the couple fled to Georgia, using the right of visa-free entry into the country. It is reported that they wanted to go to Portugal, but since they were not issued a passport for their young son, they urgently fled to Georgia.

It is noteworthy that just a few days earlier another popular blogger in Turkey, Dylan Polat, was also charged with similar charges. Local media reported that the woman, a mother of two children, earned her millions not on advertising, as her multi-million subscribers thought, but by conducting illegal criminal activities and even called her the head of an organized criminal group. Since Dylan Polat was not as diligent as her above-mentioned "colleagues", she is currently under house arrest and awaiting trial.
