Turkish Airlines management met with Airbus representatives in Istanbul to discuss the largest airplane order ever for Turkish Airlines. The company plans to purchase 345 aircraft: 75 A350-900 wide-body aircraft, 15 A350-1000 wide-body aircraft, 5 A350F freighters and 250 A321 NEO narrow-body aircraft. The contract for 10 A350-900 aircraft has already been signed. Earlier, in May 2023, Turkish Airlines Chairman Ahmet Bolat said that the company plans to order a total of 600 new aircraft. The company currently has 435 airplanes and is the airline with the largest route map in the world.
