Turkey and Russia aim to increase trade turnover to $100 billion

November 27, 2023

"Currently, the trade turnover between Turkey and Russia is $62 billion. It is moving toward the goal of $100 billion, and this makes us very happy," Erdogan said. "The momentum in the development of relations between Russia and Turkey continues. I would like to draw attention to the fact that last year our trade turnover increased by 86%. In the first half of this year, the positive trend continues," Putin said, for his part.

On November 25, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak met with Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz and the country's Trade Minister Omer Bolat on the sidelines of the 18th meeting of the intergovernmental Russian-Turkish commission on trade and economic cooperation.
"The use of the Turkish lira and the ruble in bilateral trade is increasing. Turkish exports to Russia in Turkish lira have increased by almost 400%, and Turkish imports from Russia in lira have increased by almost 150%," Novak said

Trade turnover between Russia and Turkey since the beginning of 2023 has increased in physical volume by 49.8% compared to the data of 2022.
