Turkey ranks 3rd in terms of number of certifications "Blue Flag"

Turkey is ranked third in the list of countries that have the maximum number of "Blue Flag" certificates, which are awarded to beaches, marinas, ships and yachts for compliance with environmental regulations and norms. Spain and Greece ranked first and second, respectively, followed by Turkey, Italy and France on 4 and 5 seats.

In Turkey itself, the maximum number of beaches with the "Blue Flag" is in Antalya - 233 beaches, in Mugla - 112 beaches and in Izmir - 64 beaches. They are followed by Balykesir, Aydin, Samsun, Chanakkale, Mersin, Kojaeli and Tekirdag.
