TURKSTAT named the most profitable industries and professions in Turkey

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) has published statistics on citizens' incomes for 2022. The most profitable sector in Turkey turned out to be financial and insurance companies - 293.511 liras per year. They are followed by the information and communications industry - 284.842 liras per year and the field of culture, art, entertainment and sports - 229.108 liras per year. The minimum income was shown by the food and accommodation industry - 99.290 liras per year, the real estate sector - 102.109 liras per year and the construction industry - 104.768 liras per year, respectively.

The gender pay gap was in favor of men at all levels of education. For the indicator calculated on the basis of average annual gross earnings, the largest difference was 19.6% for high school graduates, and the smallest was 14.5% for elementary school graduates and below.
