In 2023, Turkey's revenues from medical tourism amounted to $2.3 billion.

Turkey continues to strengthen its position in the field of medical tourism. In the world ranking of the countries with the greatest weight in this industry, Turkey took 7th place. Last year, 1.4 million medical tourists visited Turkey, which allowed the country to generate revenue of $2.3 billion. The largest number of foreign patients came from Germany, Great Britain, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.

For the convenience of foreign patients in Turkey, the portal "Heal in Turkey" has been created (https://healinturkiye.gov.tr/ru ), in which foreigners can receive comprehensive information in three languages about various medical institutions and the services they provide. At the moment, 40 internationally accredited medical institutions have already been registered in the country.

The Lyceum for the study of artificial Intelligence will be opened in Istanbul

At the seminar "Creation of a lyceum for the study of artificial intelligence", organized in cooperation with the Istanbul National Education Department and Istanbul Technopark, scientists, information technology teachers and representatives of the sector discussed the creation of a lyceum, the development of its curriculum and what courses should be taught there. The results of the seminar will be submitted to the Ministry of National Education, and if they are approved, it is planned to create a lyceum at the Teknopark Istanbul campus this year. Huseyin Aydin, Deputy director of the National Education of Istanbul, said that the lyceum will become Turkey's first high school for the study of artificial intelligence: "Artificial intelligence, which is used in various fields - from computer science to media, from industry to education - is one of the most important areas of the future." Mehmet Akif Ozyurt, a member of the Board of Directors of Teknopark Istanbul, stressed the importance of introducing a school format in which all sub-sectors of artificial intelligence will be taught: "The country's youth should be well prepared in this field, which offers not only great opportunities and amenities, but also threats and dangers.
