More than 11 million tourists visited Turkey in 2023

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey has published data on the number of tourists who visited the country in 2023. The total number of tourists was more than 11 million people. According to the data, the most tourists came from Russia - 1.15 million people, which is 135% more than in the same period last year. Germany is in second place (966 thousand tourists), Bulgaria is in third place (797 thousand people). They are followed by Iran (623 thousand people) and the United Kingdom (529 thousand people).

The most popular holiday destinations were Istanbul (4.8 million visitors) and Antalya Province (1.6 million tourists).

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
