A film crew arrived in Alanya as part of the "Timeline" project implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Habertürk channel to create a documentary about the ancient city of Siedra. It is reported that the film will be broadcast on board Turkish Airlines aircraft.

Siedra is an ancient port city on the border of two historical regions - Pamphylia and Cilicia. The city is located 20 km southeast of Alanya and 24 km northwest of Gazipasha (antique. The name is Selinus. The abandoned city was discovered in 1994.

According to archaeologists, Siedra originated between the 7th and 3rd centuries BC. It is known that from the I to the III century AD, the city even produced its own monetary unit, the syedrion, which confirms the importance and significance of the city at that time. The sierra consists of a lower coastal part and an upper one, located on a hilltop 400 meters above sea level. In the XIII century, it was abandoned after the capture of the coast by the Seljuks.

Siedra is under the protection of the Archaeological Museum and the municipality of Alanya. Recently, benches have been installed here, observation decks have been equipped and steps have been inserted for climbing.
