In Antalya and Alanya water will increase by 446%!

July 21, 2024

In accordance with the decision taken at the ASAT general meeting of the Antalya Capital Municipality, water prices in all districts, including Alanya, will be increased by 446%. The price per unit of water up to 5 cubic metres in residential areas will be increased by 446 per cent, from 1.83 to 10 lire. According to the new tariff, the price for the use of water of more than 20 cubic meters is set at 50.34 lire per cubic meter, and for the use of water of more than 40 cubic meters - 71.93 lira per cubic meter.

The increase was due to avoidance of water losses, increased investment costs and rising electricity prices.  It is stressed that this increase will significantly affect the owners of houses and tourist facilities in Alanya, and lead them to be more attentive to water consumption.

New tariffs will be effective from August.
