Sapsurfing competitions were held for the first time in Mersin

More than 200 people participated in a sapsurfing competition in the Silifke district of Mersin. 
The competition, organized by the local Youth and Sports Department and Silifke Municipality, was held at Akkum Public Beach. More than 200 people participated in the competition: 120 women and 90 men. The participants who took the first places in the competition received various prizes.

Okkesh Demir, director of the provincial youth and sports department, said at the opening ceremony that they want to take the competition, which was held for the first time, to the international level in the coming years. Even this time 80 athletes were foreigners. Moreover, the 3rd place was taken by Russian athletes Vladimir and Alexandra.
