A decision on material support for students has been published in the Official Gazette of Turkey

Within the framework of the program of providing technological devices and internet support to students of higher education institutions, each student will be provided with one-time support for the purchase of cell phones costing no more than 5,500 TL and computers costing no more than 9,500 TL.  

The program also implies providing students with 10 GB of Internet monthly per phone number throughout the year.  The gadgets purchased under the program cannot be sold for two years after receipt and cannot be transferred to third parties, otherwise the entire cost of the device will have to be returned with interest.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.

Turkey's economic growth in the second quarter of 2024

Turkey's Federal Statistical Office reported that the country's economy grew by 2.5% in the second quarter of 2024. Significant growth was recorded in the services sector (7.4%) and construction (6.5%).
