New tram line to be opened in Istanbul

The line, which will be called "AnadoluTRAM", will start from Uskudar Square and extend to Kadiköy Wharf and from there to Maltepe. The total length of the line, which will begin construction during this year, will be 21.3 kilometres and will include 33 stops. The draft was unanimously approved by Parliament.

The daily number of passengers on the line was calculated as 198,964 passengers in 2027,277,302 passengers in 2040 and 312,356 passengers in 2050. The line will be merged with the station "Marmaray" at the station "Sögütlüşme" and the newly designed metro line "Yenidogan - Sögütlüşme". It will also connect to the Ümraniye-Ataşehir-Göztepe and Dudullu-Bostancı metro lines on this route.

Turkey's economic growth in the second quarter of 2024

Turkey's Federal Statistical Office reported that the country's economy grew by 2.5% in the second quarter of 2024. Significant growth was recorded in the services sector (7.4%) and construction (6.5%).
