The international 28th Routes aviation industry conference is taking place in Istanbul

October 16, 2023

The Routes conference, which is organized worldwide and is the most important event in the aviation industry, is being held in Istanbul from October 15 to 17. Selahattin Bilgen, General Manager of İGA Istanbul Airport, reported a record number of participants. "Since İGA Istanbul Airport started its operations, we have increased the number of airlines from 61 to 96. Creating infrastructure and providing high level quality service allows new airlines to start flying to our country. In order to further increase this number and to reach the target of 200 million passengers in the future, it is necessary to continue attracting new companies to our country," Selahattin Bilgen said.

Routes World 2023, recognized as the most prestigious event in the world of civil aviation, welcomes thousands of executives, delegates from tourism and airline suppliers, including the presidents of the world's leading airlines. The conference is co-hosted by Air France, easyJet, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, IndiGo, Japan Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Qantas, Turkish Airlines and Wizz Air. More than 10,000 meetings are planned to explore new route opportunities.
