A press conference on the 4th International Presidential Regatta was held in Istanbul

A press conference was held for the 4th International Presidential Regatta, which will be held on October 27-29 under the auspices of the Presidency and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and in cooperation with the Istanbul Governorate.

Ekrem Emlıhaoğlu, President of Istanbul Offshore Yacht Racing Club: "With the support of the Presidency, the 4th regatta will be held in Istanbul on October 27-29. With this race we want to convey a message of peace, friendship and equality. There is not much time left until the 100th anniversary of the Republic, celebrated on October 29. With this event, we honor the memory of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk and our heroes who gave us this country."

On October 29, the 100th anniversary of the republic, a festive motorcade with all the yachts will pass along the Bosphorus, followed by an award ceremony for the winners in different categories.

Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors

Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
