Will Turkey issue "golden visas"?

December 11, 2023

Emrullah Yedikardesh, Chief Executive Officer of Karmar A.Ş., stated that changes are needed regarding the right of residence and citizenship for foreigners. According to him, 3 steps are needed at the moment to attract qualified foreign investors and commercial investments, namely: increasing the amount of investment to obtain a residence permit to 200 thousand dollars, increasing investment in real estate to 750 thousand dollars to obtain citizenship and granting golden visas to investors in exchange for investment of 300 thousand dollars without granting citizenship but with the right to work.

According to dunya.com news, Emrullah Yedikardesh said that with the reorganization of the limits, more economically qualified foreign investors may come to the country. The new rules will boost the country's economy and ensure more accurate channeling of capital coming from abroad, while reducing public anxiety over issues such as citizenship for foreigners.
