In Turkey, a farmer found 22 gold Byzantine coins on his plot

Ismet Kaya, a farmer from the Antakya district in Hatay, discovered a casket stuck in a tractor plow while working in his olive garden. There were 22 gold coins inside the box. And smet informed law enforcement about the find, and they, in turn, connected museum staff to the work. They reported that the coins date back to the time of Byzantium. It is reported that the value of the coins eaten can range from $1,000 to $10,000.

"Many of my friends advised me to take the find to a pawnshop, where I would get good money for it. However, I realized that the coins have historical value and decided to report them to law enforcement agencies," Ismet said in an interview with reporters.
