Everyone probably knows by now that lavender also grows in Turkey and that here in the vast lavender fields you can take pictures just as beautiful as in Provence. The lavender blooming season 2023 is open and the farmers who grow this fragrant flower are waiting for everyone to visit their picturesque properties.
The most popular tourist lavender location is Isparta (Ysparta). The fields are located in the village of Küücak, between Pamukkale and Antalya. Their area is about 3000 hectares. Apart from lavender, they also grow roses and produce rose water and natural essential oil. Especially for photo shoots, farmers bring various equipment, such as beautiful arches, bicycles, swings, etc.
Farmers also sell products made from lavender and roses: soaps, creams, essential oils, various souvenirs and even lavender honey.
Often tourists visit during the tour and the famous lake Salda, located two hours from the village of Kuyuzhak. It is also called the "Turkish Maldives" because of the snow-white sand. The depth of the lake is 184 meters!
Less popular, but no less beautiful lavender location is "Lavender Creek" in Akcakay (Burdur). The distance from Antalya is 200 km. The area of the fields is 375 hectares. Lavender in Akçaköy Lavanta Deresi has been grown since 2015. If you do not like the crowds of tourists - come here.
Important: Lavender blossoms can cause allergic reactions!
