The ban on fishing, which has been in effect since April 15, has ended and today fishermen opened the fishing season. According to tradition, the fishermen said a prayer before going out to sea for the first time.
"Like last year, this year we started the season with mackerel, also in small quantities caught mezgit, sargan and putassu. The weather is still quite hot. With the arrival of cooler weather, we expect the variety of fish to increase," said Ahmet Çoğalmış, one of the fishermen who went out to sea.
The fish was on sale at the following prices: mackerel - 100 liras, putassu - 75 liras, sea bream (chupra) - 200 liras, mullet - 125 liras, daphnia (sargan) - 100 liras.
