In Turkey, the Government is preparing a comprehensive package of incentives to increase fertility

The President of Turkey announced the development of a new project aimed at stimulating the birth rate in the country. According to preliminary information, those with three children will receive a monthly child allowance of 17,000 lire. Housing benefits and car loans will be provided to families with two children. Families will also be paid a 2-year allowance for formula and diapers for each baby.

During the discussion of the draft, Ayse Keshir, President of the Women’s Section of the AK-Party, also proposed to lower the age limit for obtaining state support for ECO from 40 to 45 years and to give mothers the right to work part-time, until their kids go to primary school.

Government representatives stated that such support would improve the quality of life of families and have a positive impact on population growth. More information on the details of the stimulus package and its implementation process will be provided in the coming days.

At present, the child allowance in Turkey is 300 lire per child, 400 lire per child 2 and 600 lire per child 3.
