An electric train of domestic production has been launched in Turkey

The Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey, Adil Kara Ismail oglu, announced the launch of the first Turkish electric train. The new train, with passengers on board, departed on May 27 at 20.10 local time from Adapazary station, located in Sakarya province. The train was produced by TÜRASAŞ and is made entirely from local materials.

The domestic train is capable of speeds up to 160 km / h, the maximum number of seats is 324. In addition, the electric train is equipped with Wi-Fi, a kitchen, two cars for people with disabilities, a mother and child room. During the trip, passengers are offered tea, coffee and refreshing drinks.

The plans are to increase the serial production of trains and start exporting them to European countries this year.
