enImportant changes have been made to the short-term rental law

Alanya Contractors Association (MÜTBİR) President Mustafa Küçüker said that the short-term rental law recently approved by the national assembly has been amended. It is reported that residences and villas will be exempted from the need to obtain consent to rent out the property from all homeowners. It is not yet clear which complexes fall under the definition of "residence", however, developers report that the vast majority of properties already built and under construction fall under this definition.

Turkey s state-owned energy company Botas has signed a new long-term contract with France s TotalEnergies for the supply of 16 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) per year. Turkey's Finance Ministry to Reveal Names of Major Tax Debtors
Finance and Treasury Minister Mehmet Simsek said the names of taxpayers with tax arrears and fines of 5 million lira or more will be made public. Those who do not want to be on the list of "tax debtors" will have to pay off their debts by the end of September 2024. Taxpayers from earthquake-hit areas will be excluded from the measure.
