October 31, 2023

Experts and officials continue to put forward proposals to overcome the shortage of housing in Turkey. The issue is particularly acute in Antalya, Alanya, Konya, Izmir and Mersin. Mehmet Ozhaseki, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, said that a draft law is being worked on, according to which treasury lands will be sold at a large discount, which will reduce the cost of real estate for Turkish citizens by 35-40%. Sedat Altınay, president of the Konya Chamber of Realtors, also said that the opening of sales of state lands will help reduce the cost of housing, which in turn will make it more affordable for Turkish citizens.

P.S. Only Turkish citizens can purchase state land under this program.
