WhatsApp, YouTube and Instagram became the most used platforms in Turkey in 2023

The importance of social media in our time is very great. No matter how hard we try to reduce the time spent at the screen, it is not so easy to do this, given that we both work and relax using social networks and various applications. We feel especially acutely the importance of online platforms at times when their operation fails for one reason or another, as happened the other day. Online, we interact with colleagues and clients, shop and get acquainted with fashionable novelties, communicate with relatives and friends - an endless list. It's hard to even imagine what would happen if the applications that are so popular now suddenly stop working! Statistics also show an increase in the number of users from year to year around the world in general and in Turkey in particular.

2. YouTube: 2.4 billion

3. WhatsApp: 2.0 billion

4. Instagram: 2.0 billion

5. TikTok: 1.5 billion

6. WeChat: 1.3 billion

7.Facebook Messenger: 979 million

8. Telegram: 800 million

9. Douyin: 752 million

10. Snapchat: 750 million

According to a study published by the Turkish Statistical Institute TurkStat, 95.5% of Turkish citizens have access to the Internet. E-commerce, digital content consumption and social media usage have also increased.

Instagram - 61,4%
