The Turkish women's national volleyball team became the European champion for the first time in history!

The Turkish national women's volleyball team won the European Championship for the first time ever. The Turkish team defeated the Serbian team in the final match of the European Volleyball Championship in Brussels and became the winner of the tournament for the first time. The Turkish team confidently defeated the Polish team 3:0 in the quarterfinals and the Italian team 3:2 in the semifinals. In the five-set final, the Serbian team lost to Turkey 2:3 (27:25, 21:25, 25:22, 22:25, 13:15). This success is equally the achievement of head coach Daniele Santarelli.
