New law on combating overpricing in Turkey

According to the latest news, a bill consisting of 23 articles on amendments to the Commercial Code has been submitted to the Presidium of the Grand National Assembly. The bill provides for an increase in fines as part of the fight against price gouging and the accumulation of stocks in warehouses for the purpose of speculation. The purpose of the bill is the natural functioning of the market and the fight against unfair competition that misleads consumers. Construction of the bridge connecting Turkey and Greece will begin this year

Construction of a new bridge over the Evros River (Turk. Meric) between the border points of Pisala in Turkey and Kepi in Greece will begin this year. The existing two-lane bridge, built in 1958 to provide passage across the Evros River between the border outposts, cannot meet the growing car traffic between the two countries every year. Edirne Governor Yunus Sezer inspected the area where the bridge will be built. The construction will be carried out with the partnership of both countries. The Turkish side of the bridge will be built by the General Directorate of Highways, and the Greek side by the Greek government. The main length of the bridge, technical work on which is being carried out by the 1st regional Directorate of Highways, will be 811 meters, and the part above the river will be 344 meters. The 4-lane bridge will also have an emergency road and sidewalks.

From Istanbul to Sivas in 7 hours!
