Important changes in the issue of obtaining Turkish citizenship

As of today, the Regulation, according to which a foreign citizen can no longer apply for Turkish citizenship when buying a plot of land worth 400 thousand dollars. In order to obtain citizenship on the land plot there must be a building (building, condominium, etc.). The purpose of the innovation is to increase the number of sales of residential real estate, as sales of land plots already have high rates. Thus, from 12.12.2023, it will be possible to obtain Turkish citizenship only by purchasing residential or commercial real estate.

TURKEY: 5th International Marathon in Mersin

The 5th International Marathon under the slogan "Everyone Runs to Mersin" was held in Mersin yesterday, organized by the capital's municipality. The race was attended by 1,696 runners from 25 countries and hundreds of citizens. The marathon was classified as "Elite Label" by the World Athletics Association. Kenyan Benard Kipkorir, winner of the men's 42km marathon, broke the course record in Mersin and had the second best time in Turkey. Women's 42km marathon winner Ruth Jebet not only broke the course record in Mersin, but also surpassed the Olympic threshold and qualified for the quota for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. In the women's 10km race, Anastasia Nikolaeva took third place with a time of 41 minutes and 7 seconds, while in the men's 10km race, Stanislav Ageljarov was second with a time of 30 minutes and 22 seconds.

A ski resort will be built in Ordu in Turkey

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has approved the G ndeli Hill ski resort project in Ordu. The province already has a ski resort, Cembaşı. The second ski center will be located closest to the sea and will occupy an area of 4 thousand hectares in Kabad z district on G ndeli Hill at an altitude of 2,730 meters above sea level. There will be 120 kilometers of trails on the territory. The project will be designed to receive 70 thousand people a day, will include various tourist facilities, hotels and 9 elevators. The distance to the center of Ordu is 65 km, to the airport - 85 km.

Erdogan: Istanbul's housing stock will be completely renewed in 5 years

The President stated that 350 thousand new buildings will be erected in Istanbul every year. Buildings that do not meet safety requirements will be demolished, some buildings will be strengthened and reconstructed. "Pobeda launches new flights to Turkey

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) has released gross domestic product data by province for 2022. Istanbul became the province with the highest share of GDP with 4 trillion. 564 m.lrd 280 million liras, accounting for 30.4 percent of the total income. It is followed by Ankara with 1 trillion. 329 billion 810 million liras and a share of 8.9 % and Izmir with 972 billion 238 million liras and a share of 6.5 %. The five provinces with the highest share of GDP accounted for 53.9 percent of all revenues in 2022. Tunceli, Ardahan and Bayburt provinces were at the end of the list.
