Airport Chukurov in Mersin will open August 10

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced that Chukurov airport will be inaugurated by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on August 10. According to the Minister, about 244.5 million euros were invested in the construction of the 800-hectare airport without the use of public funds. Within 25 years from these investments the state will receive 297 million 100 thousand euros profit from rent.

Retirees in Turkey will be given a 7-day free vacation in the popular resorts of the country

Within the framework of the project "Free rest for pensioners", announced by the Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Yshihan, pensioners who have the right to live in public hostels, begin to visit the resorts of Turkey. The Yıldız Palace and Park Complex in Istanbul opens its doors to visitors. Entrance until the end of August - free.

After almost six years of restoration, the official opening ceremony of the Jyldyz Palace and Park Complex was held in Istanbul. The ceremony was attended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.Built on a hill overlooking the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marble, the Jyldız Palace is the last major palace built by the Ottoman Empire in Istanbul. It continues the tradition of Turkish-Islamic palace architecture with its layout "Palace in the east (State administration and harem) and Friday Mosque in the west (Yildiz Hamidiye Mosque)" in the context of the overall site plan. The Yildiz Palace, whose area is 500,000 m2, consists of 3 large parts. The so-called outdoor garden is today s Yildiz Park. This large park, which was designed for the palace during the Sultan s reign, is now open to the public. The child and young population in Turkey is higher than in the European Union

The EU countries with the highest youth indicators in 2023 are Ireland with 13.1%, Denmark with 12.0% and the Netherlands with 11.9%. The lowest youth indicators are Malta - 9.0%, Lithuania - 9.4%, Bulgaria and Slovenia - 9.5%, respectively. Turkey s youth rate was 15.1%, higher than the youth rate of the EU 27. The EU countries with the highest proportion of older people in 2023 are Italy with 24.5%, Finland with 23.6% and Portugal with 23.3%, respectively. The countries with the lowest proportion of older persons are the Greek Administration of Southern Cyprus with 15.2%, Luxembourg with 15.4%, and Ireland with 15.5%. The share of the elderly population in Turkey was 10.2 per cent, which is lower than the share of the elderly population in the 27 EU member countries.

Thailand ranked 6th among the most comfortable countries for expats.

InterNations portal published the results of Expat Insider survey to find out why people change their country of residence and where they feel most comfortable. More than 12 thousand people from 175 countries took part in the survey. Participants shared the advantages and disadvantages of living in a new place. The main factors affecting the ease of moving were the availability of visas and the cost of living. On the basis of these data, a list of 53 countries most comfortable for emigration was drawn up. In Alanya will open an exhibition in the Hunting Pavilion Sedra

The Cedre Hunting Mansion, one of the rare examples of Seljuk-era mansion architecture, will be opened to the public as a special place, telling about the history and culture of hunting in the region. The Cedre Hunting Lodge, which was started during the reign of Mustafa Aras, was in a state of unfinished business.
