Free three hours on parking in Turkish shopping malls

In Turkey, there is a rule of free first three hours on parking lots at shopping malls in Turkey, adopted by UKOME in 2007. Human rights defender Aydin Agaoglu, president of the Consumers' Confederation, reports that this rule is not respected in many shopping centers. Agaoglu has already won several lawsuits over parking violations. He calls on all residents not to pay for the first 3 hours of parking in shopping centers and to file complaints if their rights are violated. Lawyer Ibrahim Gullu, deputy chairman of the Consumers' Confederation: "Parking for up to three hours from the consumer can never be charged. Recently, the number plate reader was activated in the shopping centers. Unfortunately, in most malls the payment document does not indicate the time of entry and exit. So because the consumer doesn t know how long he s there, he has to pay that money. In order for the consumer to be able to assert his rights, the time of entry and exit of the vehicle must be indicated on the payment documents. If the time of entry and exit is not indicated on the payment document, the consumer must write it down himself. If he thinks he s been in the cabin for less than three hours, The Consumer Arbitration Committee must be contacted through the electronic government and demand a refund of the money paid with commercial interest."

Turkey reduces ÖTV tax on hybrid cars by 30

The special ÖTV consumption tax is a tax on expenditure levied on certain goods or products on a fixed or proportional basis. According to a ruling published in the Official Gazette and which has entered into force, the ÖTV rate will vary from 30 to 70% for hybrid cars plug-in hybrid (for hybrid cars with a CO2 emission of less than 25 grams and a range of 70 km or more). Previously, the ÖTV rate for such cars was 80%. The ÖTV tax rates would therefore be applied as follows: for cars with an engine capacity of 1600 cc or less, a base value of 1,350,000 lire - 30% ÖTV for cars with an engine capacity of not more than 1600 cc and a base value of more than 1350000 lire - 60% ÖTV for cars with an engine capacity of 1600 cc or less, a base value of 1,350,000 lire - 30% ÖTV for cars with an engine capacity of more than 1600 cc and a base value of more than 1350000 lire 70% ÖTV Car market experts have suggested that the biggest discount will be given to BYD car buyers. BYD s advertising sites sell cars with zero mileage for 2 million 150 thousand liras. Assuming that dealers will also give such a price, the price after taking into account the reduced tax is expected to be around 1 million 320 thousand pounds (indicative calculation). Using the BMW X1 xDrive30e, experts expect a reduction in its cost from 4 million 87 thousand liras to 3 million 632 thousand 887 liras. The price of DS 9 OPÉRA E-TENSE 250, which is 4 million 478 thousand 100 liras, should be reduced to 3 million 980 thousand 532 liras, taking into account the new rules.
