Turkey's new mobile financial application - Turan (TURAN)
On November 16, the TURAN payment system started working in Turkey. The purpose of the system is to improve cooperation with Turkic and Turkey-friendly countries. At the moment, transfers and other financial services are available for Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Northern Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Georgia. The following types of services are available between these countries: instant transfers, payment by QR code, contactless payment, bill payment, acquiring (connection of payment system on company websites), etc. Both physical and virtual Turan cards can be issued. In the future, the list of countries will be expanded, and the new system is planned to cover about 170 million people.

A record number of real estate properties were purchased by foreign citizens in 2023
The number of real estate properties purchased by foreign nationals in the TRNC is constantly increasing. In 2019, the Council of Ministers of the Republic granted the rights to purchase real estate to 1,141 foreigners, in 2021 to 1,179 foreigners and in 2022 to 2,810 foreigners. Since the beginning of 2023, foreigners have already purchased 4,569 properties in North Cyprus. Turkey will not charge for monthly consumption of 25 m3 of gas until May 1, 2024
The President of Turkey announced that until May 1, 2024 there will be no charge for monthly consumption of 25 m3 of gas in residential homes, which is equivalent to about 150 liras. Only what is consumed in excess of 25 m3 will be subject to payment.

Residential real estate sales statistics in Turkey for October 2023
The Turkish Institute of Statistics (TUIK) has released residential sales statistics for October 2023. In October, 93.761 properties were sold in the country, down 8.7% compared to October 2022. In total, 993,835 properties have been sold since the beginning of the year, down 14.3% from the same period in 2022. Alanya Municipality has started the application process for the Blue Flag certificate for 2024

Five tons of free hamsi at the Alanya Festival!
The traditional anchovy (hamsi) festival organized by the Alanya Black Sea People's Association (ALKARDER) will be held on November 25-26 in the square at the foot of the Red Fortress of Alanya. The organizers invite all residents and guests to take part in the festivities. Five tons of hamsi will be cooked by chefs and offered free of charge as a treat to everyone! At the exhibition stands it will be possible to buy products, products and souvenirs of the Black Sea region.
