Turkish Airlines registers first Turkish low-cost carrier

Turkish Airlines on July 14 registered a new low-cost subsidiary, AJet Air Transport Joint Stock Company, with authorized capital of 450 million liras ($17.2 million). Turkish Airlines is using its low-cost carrier AnadoluJet as its base, which currently has a fleet of four A320s, twelve A321s, seven B737-8s and forty-six B737-800s. The company will be the first full-fledged Turkish low-cost carrier and will compete with Europe's Easyjet, Germanwings and Ryanair.

Record number of tourists visited Antalya resorts

According to the statement of Antalya Governor Ersin Yazıcı, the number of tourists arriving in Antalya by air exceeded 100 thousand people per day in July 2023. UK Export Finance/UKEF will provide €781 million in support for the Mersin-Gaziantep high-speed electric rail project. Mersin-Gaziantep high-speed electric railroad project

The project aims to connect Mersin, Turkey's second largest container port, with the country's inland cities of Adana, Osmaniye and Gaziantep. In addition, its implementation will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 150 thousand tons per year.

A new beach and promenade were inaugurated in Mersin's Anamur district

A new airport was inaugurated in Northern Cyprus

Fraudsters who stole 500 million liras from citizens have been detained in Alanya!
