Fines of 5 million liras for throwing away an animal on the street
The municipality of the Turkish city of Bolu has been given the right to impose fines ranging from 1 million to 5 million liras on individuals or institutions that throw animals on the street. The law also applies to those who bring animals from other provinces in Turkey. Expressing his opinion on the issue, Bolu Mayor Tanju Ozkan said: " We have analyzed the law. There is no provision for this in the law. There are provisions and penalties for cruelty to animals, but there is no penalty for abandoning animals." In the vote, the motion was unanimously approved.

67 districts in Turkey claim to be provinces
The president of the Antalya branch of the Chamber of Cartographers and Cadastral Engineers, Okan Hancher, said that during the latest survey it was found that 67 districts with a population of more than 100,000 people and a distance of at least 30 kilometers from the city center have the potential to become independent provinces.
